Brent Wanner – Head of Power Sector Unit, World Energy Outlook, International Energy Agency
Brent Wanner leads the Power Sector Unit at the International Energy Agency (IEA), overseeing electricity sector modelling and analysis for the World Energy Outlook and major special reports. With over a decade at the IEA, he has contributed to 14 editions of the Outlook and more than 25 in-depth studies. His work supports the transition to secure, affordable, and low-emissions electricity systems, focusing on renewables, nuclear, storage, and the shift from fossil fuels. He was a lead author of landmark IEA reports including Net Zero by 2050, Batteries and Secure Energy Transitions, Electricity Grids in Secure Energy Transitions, and The Path to a New Era for Nuclear Energy.
