Domenico Rossetti di Valdalbero – Deputy Head of Unit, Euratom Research Unit, DG Research and Innovation, European Commission

Domenico Rossetti di Valdalbero is Deputy Head of Unit for Euratom Research at the European Commission since 2019. He manages the Euratom Research and Training programme covering both fusion and fission actions (EUR 150 Million per year).

Before, as Deputy Head of Unit he was renewing the Research Fund for Coal and Steel in the Industrial Technologies Directorate. In the Commission, he has been also working ten years in Energy Strategy and ten years in Foresight and Inclusive Societies.

Holding a PhD in Economics, Domenico is the author of 100 articles and the books entitled ‘The Power of Science’ and ‘La réussite de l’Europe – Union, énergie et technologie’. He has recently edited the Commission publications on ‘Medical Applications of Ionising Radiation’, on ‘EU Small Modular Reactors’ and on ‘Fostering Fusion Innovation’.
