
Kristian Vigenin – Member of the European Parliament
Kristian Vigenin has extensive experience in both national and international affairs. He currently serves as a Member of the European Parliament in its 10th term (since July 2024). His political career includes serving as Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs (2013–2014), Vice-President of the National Assembly (2019–2024), and Chairman of the European Affairs Committee (2017–2019). He has held key leadership roles in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, including Vice-President (2018–2022), and in the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly as Co-President (2010–2013). Vigenin represented Bulgaria in the European Parliament from 2007 to 2013, where he was Vice President of the Socialist Group and a leading figure in foreign affairs. A member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party since 2000, he has held several high-level party positions, including Deputy Chairman for Foreign and European Affairs.
