Armand Laferrère – Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Orano (formerly known as AREVA)
Armand joined the AREVA Group in 2004 as Vice President, Strategy and Audit for AREVA NP. From 2006 to 2009 he was President of AREVA Canada.
He then became Chief Representative of AREVA in Russia and the CIS from 2009 to 2010 and was in charge of AREVA’s New Build Offers from 2010 to early 2012.
After the Fukushima accident, he became President of AREVA Japan before returning to Paris at the end of 2014.
Before joining the Orano Group, Armand had a career as a senior civil servant in the French Court of Auditors and the French Treasury. From 2002 to 2004, he was a personal advisor to Nicolas Sarkozy, then the French Minister of the Interior.
Armand is a graduate of both « École Normale Supérieure » and « École Nationale d’Administration ».
