Agnieszka Kaźmierczak – Director General, Euratom Supply Agency

Agnieszka Kaźmierczak is Director-General of the Euratom Supply Agency, an independent public agency with mission to secure supply of nuclear materials (including nuclear fuel) for all users in the European Atomic Energy Community.

Graduate of Warsaw University and Polish National School of Public Administration, Agnieszka has served for 25 years as senior manager in the public service at national and EU level, as well as one of the Big 4 professional services firms.

During her posting to the Polish Ministry of Finance, Agnieszka developed the financial control system for EU funds and introduced internal auditing into the Polish public sector.

In 2005, Agnieszka joined the European Commission and as Director in the auditing service launched risk-based internal audit in EU agencies and bodies. Later, as resource Director, she supervised financial resources and programmes in the areas of energy and transport, cultivating best practices in governance and accountability.

Agnieszka’s vision for the Euratom Supply Agency includes continued alignment with EU policy on security of energy supply policy, in particular in the direction of strategic autonomy, reinforcement of the Agency’s market monitoring role and closer contacts with stakeholders in industry, research and national administrations.
