Andrew Hegedus

Founder – Demosophia LLC

Dr. Andrew Hegedus obtained a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership. Andy held a wide variety of positions during his 20 years in nuclear power. Among other things, he was SRO certified, a qualified reactor engineer, supervised a team of I&C technicians, and led a Design Engineering organization. When a system engineer, he was recognized for his contributions with a Top Industry Practice award. He was involved in the transformation of a power plant from one of the worst performing in the industry to one of the best.  After leaving the nuclear industry, he spent 14 years in public education in a large diverse school system and an education non-profit. He is a Broad Academy Fellow – a program that trains and supports education leaders as they transform the largest and most complex school systems in the United States. He has published articles about using data to improve school system performance, and making goal setting more powerful. He founded Demosophia LLC six years ago to enable key stakeholders to collectively diagnose and tackle the most complex challenges creating a path forward that results in lasting, positive change. Demosophia methodologies are unique, scientifically developed, and research proven to address the most complex organization problems across a wide variety of sectors.
