Kuen Sia, P. Eng, joined the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission in Dec 2008 as a Management System Specialist. As a Management System Specialist, Kuen is responsible for reviewing and verifying the implementation of the licensees management system to ensure that the licensees are in compliance with the regulatory expectations of the management system requirements stipulated by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. Kuen works mainly with the non-power reactor facilities, Dosimetry and Class II licensing files.

Prior to joining the CNSC, Kuen worked extensively in the private sector in quality assurance and manufacturing in the Shipbuilding, Electronics and Injection Moulding industries. Kuen has over 30 years of experience in quality management systems in manufacturing and has taken three companies to ISO 9001 and TS 16949 certification.

In her spare time, Kuen loves to garden, cook and bake for her family, friends and colleagues.
